Mission Statment

Inner-City Scholarship Fund - Be A Student's Friend Program
The Inner-City Scholarship Fund's Be A Student's Friend Program is an organization that Bart supported and is particularly apropos because the beneficiaries of the Be A Student's Friend Program represent youth, hope and faith in a brighter future. As we learned all too painfully on September 11, poverty and ignorance are a breeding ground for hate, resentment and violence. This program provides the opportunity for some of our city's children to obtain a quality, value-based education, in parochial elementary and secondary schools. Inner-City Scholarship Fund's results are astounding: While 64% of the students in the ICSF supported schools are living at or below the federal poverty level, 99% of high school seniors graduate in four years and 95% of those pursue higher education. As you can imagine, the waiting list for scholarships is long and growing. So far, we have sponsored 6 students for their four years of high school. We have been extremely fortunate to get to know each of these amazing students and their families. We plan to continue with this program and we look forward to making this opportunity possible for another group of energetic and hopeful students. Bromley Mountain's Adaptive Ski Program and the Bart J. Ruggiere Sport Center
As Bart was an avid Vermont skier, we are proud to support the Adaptive Ski Program at Bromley Mountain, which through its growth, lead to the opening of The Bart J. Ruggiere Adaptive Sports Center. The center is located at Bromley Mountain and provides ski equipment and training to children and adults with physical disabilities. Recent inventions in adaptive ski equipment have enabled people with physical disabilities to enjoy the thrill of outdoor mountain skiing - a huge physical and emotional boost for them and their families. We have been involved with this program at Bromley Mountain since its infancy and are thrilled to witness its success and growth into summer programs for the disabled. Please add your name to the already distinguished group of sponsors and help Inner-City Scholarship Fund's Be A Student's Friend Program and help Bromley Mountain's Bart J. Ruggiere Adaptive Sports Center expand their services and continue their tremendous work improving the quality of life for others. If you would like to donate to the Bart J.
